The three intakes at US institutions.
When studying in the USA, students have the choice of three primary flexible intakes: the spring semester (January), the autumn semester (September), and the summer semester (May).
First intake: Autumn semester The main intake starts in August or September.
A second intake, for the spring semester, which starts in January or February, is also offere.
Summer Semester, the third intake, starts in May or June and is offered for several courses.
You must select the intake that best fits your needs and submit your application in that manner. Keep in mind that the application deadline is often a few months prior to the start of the semester. Additionally, you will need to coordinate your college application process with your US student visa application.
Eligibility
Student CandidateStudents must be older than 18 to enrol.
When classes are in session, international students are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week or fewer on campus. During academic breaks, such as the summer, they are permitted to work full-time.
Off-campus jobs need some kind of written or official authorisation from the OISS or USCIS.
To be eligible for any type of off-campus job, you must presently have legal status and have been enrolled as a student in the US on an F-1 student visa for at least one academic year.
